Structural Steel (Heavy Gauge Steel)
Structural steel is used in heavy-duty construction projects like buildings, bridges and industrial plants. Its strength and flexibility can withstand moderate seismic activity, heavy traffic loads and high winds. A one-inch circular bar of steel firmly attached to supports can hold 20 tons all at once.
Roofing Sheets (Clean Light Gauge Steel)
Light gauge supports come in a galvanised finish of zinc and aluminium or both combined. This form of steel is most commonly used in residential or light commercial constructions such as fencing or filing cabinets.
White Goods (Unclean Light Gauge Steel)
White goods steel is used in large household appliances like fridges and freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers and dishwashers. Other items that fall in this category are bicycles, weight benches, lawnmowers, auto parts, and light-duty metal shelves.
Generally, you will find steel in these parts of your car: brakes, engine, exhaust, wheels, chassis, and roof. They can also include radiator, batteries, and catalytic converters.
